Lure

FlyLock is a capture trap for indoor and outdoor placement. It is a trap, not a deterrent. A scent lure and water go into the chamber, insects are drawn in, and the trap holds what it catches.

No traditional insecticide spray. No electricity. No batteries. Fill it, place it, leave it.

The trap is reusable. Empty it, rinse it, add a fresh scent lure and water, and place it again.

Setup takes four steps

  1. Open the trap.
  2. Add the scent lure.
  3. Add water.
  4. Place or hang the trap.

Safety, read this before you place it

The lure is not for consumption.

Keep the trap and the lure out of reach of children.

If the lure gets into the eyes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention.

Store spare lures cool, dry and sealed.

Where to place it indoors

Indoors is where most people meet fruit flies first, so start there. Good spots are beside the fruit bowl, near the bin or the recycling, and anywhere fruit flies are already visible. Keep the trap in the kitchen, but not directly over a food preparation surface, and out of reach of children.

Where to place it outdoors

Outdoors the trap can hang in fruit trees, in the garden, on a balcony or a patio, around bin areas, and in a greenhouse or a vegetable patch.

Bees

A sweet scent lure can attract bees as well. Place the trap away from flowering plants.

Size

Each trap stands about 20 cm tall and about 9 cm wide.

Choosing a pack

A trap can be bought on its own or together with lures. The lure is what draws insects in, so a trap without one is an empty bottle. Every multipack ships with lures included.
