The Fruit Fly Kit puts two different products in one box.
Inside you get one FlyLock Indoor & Outdoor Fruit Fly Trap with five fruit fly scent lures, and one IonAway Yard Guardian.
The FlyLock Indoor & Outdoor Fruit Fly Trap
A capture trap, not a deterrent. A scent lure and water go into the chamber and the trap holds what it catches. It is reusable, and it takes no traditional insecticide spray, no electricity and no batteries. Each trap stands about 20 cm tall and about 9 cm wide. Setup takes four steps. Open the trap, add the scent lure, add water, then place or hang it.
The IonAway Yard Guardian
The solar powered yard unit from our existing range. It is an outdoor deterrent for the garden, it is not part of the trap, and it catches nothing. See its own product page for the full details.
Safety, read this before you place the trap
The lure is not for consumption.
Keep the trap and the lures out of reach of children.
If the lure gets into the eyes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention.
Store spare lures cool, dry and sealed.
Where to place the trap indoors
Beside the fruit bowl, near the bin or the recycling, and anywhere fruit flies are already visible. Keep the trap in the kitchen, but not directly over a food preparation surface, and out of reach of children.
Where to place the trap outdoors
Fruit trees, the garden, a balcony or a patio, bin areas, and a greenhouse or a vegetable patch. The IonAway Yard Guardian is outdoor only.
Bees
A sweet scent lure can attract bees as well. Place the trap away from flowering plants.
